Memory Lane Monday: Mademoiselle and Ehrlich

Apparently it’s a longer road than originally thought. The more believable Erlich. Sure, today might be Easter, but Earth Day is also this week and every Progressive knows that their god Gaia trumps all others---expect for possibly their god of ego, Self-Righteousness.

PD has definitely touched on Paul Ehrlich in the past, not only because he shares a name with a Silicon Valley favorite, but mostly due to the fact that like Erlich from Silicon Valley he likes to play with numbers.Interesting that in a 1983 issue, Mademoiselle is still offering advice on how to, “Nab that flab.”

In the April 1970 edition of Mademoiselle, Paul Ehrlich assured the public that the, “Population will inevitably and completely outstrip whatever small increases in food supplies we make.” Adding that, “The death rate will increase until at least 100-200 million people per year will be starving to death during the next ten years.”

Who else remembers the about a billion people that starved to death in the 80’s?
